To our incredible community, allies, and chosen family: Epiphania Visuals is officially back.
It has been a long time since we last showed our visibility, and the journey here has tested our absolute limits. Following the political upheaval in Bangladesh and the sudden, devastating loss of our physical gallery space, we were forced into a painful, prolonged silence from July 2024 until now. These compounding crises also meant our founder, director, and curator, Dipa Mahbuba Yasmin, had to make the difficult journey of relocating from Bangladesh entirely.
Led by our founder, Yasmin, this isn’t just a workshop—it’s a reclamation of space, story, and art. We are here to shatter the myth that puppetry is just for kids. Puppetry is a profound, high-aesthetic medium of contemporary visual art, and we are going to use it to bring our authentic queer narratives to life.
Whether you want to build a stunning piece for an interactive art display or create a bold character for your next queer performance play, your vision is welcome here. We will kick off the session with a formal presentation exploring how contemporary artists use puppets to push boundaries in the fine art world, inspiring you to channel your own truth into a self-made masterpiece.
